Deputy district education officer (DDEO), Peren while expressing regret for the delay in releasing the January 2014 salary and 2013 arrears, however clarified that it was due to “shortage of funds”. In a statement, DDEO Peren, L. Toshimenla Imchen informed that the “office has written to the government for the required additional fund and is yet to receive the sanction order.” In this regard, Imchen said that the salaries and arrears of employees under DEO Peren “can be release only after the office receives the required additional budget.” DDEO said that the matter was already “highlighted to the ANSTA Peren unit office bearers when they visited the DEO Peren office on February 6.”
