Major fire averted at Naga Heritage village

A fire broke out at Kisama’s Naga Heritage village Tuesday afternoon, 11 kms away from the state capital.The timely intervention of fire services helped in dousing the inferno. Source said that it the fire could have spread, a petrol pump below the World War 2 museum would have been hit.
The three fire tenders were pressed into action. Sources further said that the jungle below the museum was completely gutted; however, the museum housing historic items was left untouched. The cause of fire could not be ascertained till the filing of this report.
