Reacting to a news item “Auto drivers of Dimapur district emergency meet”, published March 16, the Dimapur District Autorickshaw Drivers’ Union (DDADU) has clarified that convening of the said meeting was without the knowledge of DDADU, which is officially recognized by the competent authority.
In a press release, DDADU president K. Hokaito Zhimomi and general secretary Obeka Tuccu said in view of the unofficial convening of meetings by the unscrupulous and self vested interested person(s), the union was compelled to issue this clarification and also to inform its bona fide members not to attend the unofficial meeting(s).
Further, DDADU has informed that if any untoward incident occurred, the union would not be held responsible and that those responsible would be doing so at their own risk.
