Dimapur Press Club (DPC) has informed all members to get registered with the club within March 31 failing which the defaulting members would be denied of any claim or complaint after the expiry of the stipulated period.
In a press release, DPC stated that this was resolved during the general meeting March 18 at Rotary Club, Dimapur, wherein the members unanimously agreed to the resolutions in spirit and in letter.
It was agreed that only registered members would be issued Smart ID Card while the Club also decided to follow the policy of non-interference against non-registered members in the event of any circumstances.
The house has decided to charge Rs.100 as renewal fee for old members while Rs. 200 would be charged for new membership.
The house also decided to organize a sports meet tentatively in the third/ fourth week of April. The sports meet would be conducted in the discipline of Badminton, Table Tennis, Carrom and Volleyball both for men and women.
On the recommendation from the members, the house has also decided to re-instate the post of joint secretary.
The nomination for the post of the joint secretary would be decided after the completion of membership drive. Further, the house endorsed the proposed welfare schemes for the members initiated by the executive members.
