Department of School Education (DoSE) has appealed the SSA teachers to call off the ongoing agitation as the reason for the inability to release the pending salaries and arrears had been made clear.
In a statement, DoSE principal director Kesonyu Yhome said the issue faced by the SSA teachers was “an issue beyond the control of the state government and the department.” Yhome reiterated that the salaries and arrears would be released once Centre sanctions the second installment. DoSE urged teachers to bear with the department and resume their duties, as an act of benevolence especially for the lives of those children they have been entrusted to mentor.
