Circular Road inaugurated at Jotsoma

District Rural Development Agency (DRDA) Kohima project director Thungdeno Mozhui inaugurated the Circular Road (cement concrete pavement) of Jotsoma village, which was funded under MGNREGS 2013-14. Addressing the gathering as chief guest, Mozhui appreciated the village for implementing the project and proving better road connection within the village.
She assured to provide more such projects to the village in future. Maintaining that the impact of climate change could also be felt in the state, the project director said efforts should be made towards sustainable projects on rain water harvest. She also encouraged the youths in the village to take up computer knowledge in order to be at par with others in this IT world.
Earlier, she also unveiled the plaque as a mark of dedicating the road. VDB secretary Keringukho Rino highlighted that the village received an amount of Rs. 19,30,935 under MGNREGS 2013-14 second phase while road was constructed at the cost of Rs. 17,68,300. The total length of the road is 900 feet having a breadth of 15 feet. The programme, chaired by VDB member Seyiekhrielie Naga, commenced with Pastor of Calvary Baptist Church Phezhu, Rev. Kelhouseto Nagi saying the invocation.  Jotsoma village council chairman Golepra Peseyie delivered the welcome address while vigilance committee convenor Krukiebi Semo proposed the vote of thanks. Special number was presented by Yiechülhulie Seyie and friends. The chief guest was accompanied by BDO Sechu-Zubza, R Kath and other officers.
