CRBC assists Rengmas in Assam for resettlement

Council of Rengma Baptist Churches (CRBC) in response to the predicament of displaced Rengmas in Karbi Anglong, undertook construction work from March 18 to 22. The construction work was done in the worst affected four villages—Tseguchangri, Chogilashun, Choshentunri and Güjenlanyu for resettlement after a consultative meetings with Karbi Anglong Baptist Convention, Nihang Karbi Baptist Association and Rengma Baptist Association.
President, CRBC, Ahulo Kent, in a press release stated that the council provided construction materials and also mobilized labour force from its member churches in constructing 88 houses with CGI sheet roofing, woven bamboo panel wall.
The release also stated that the Western Rengma Baptist Association would carry out the rest of the construction works for those houses burnt at Chowkiholla, Panjan, Balijan-II, Nkhenlari and Tarajan with the materials available with them.
