One person was drowned in river Yungmon River between Yongam village under Longleng District and Sowa village under Mon District while on fishing with his brother.
According to sources, the unfortunate incident took place on May 3 around 2 a.m. when the brothers went for fishing in the river. The deceased was identified as one LM Niamche Phom son of Manpang Phom. The body was retrieved Saturday afternoon by the villagers after the younger brother went back to village and informed the villagers about the tragic incident.
