Lotha Catholic Khumshum Kohima (LCKK) celebrated “Mother’s Day” on May 11 at CAN conference hall, Kohima. The programe was chaired by Jonas Yanthan and invocation was pronounced by Samuel Ezung, Ex – Catechist. Lotha CAN president T Elias spoke about the history and the meaning of celebrating mother’s day and challenged the mothers to inculcate the good qualities of mother Mary besides being an ordinary mother. Rev Fr Philip Yanpvüthung also spoke highly about the mother’s contribution towards the family and the society while admitting that there are bad mothers who does not care for the family and husband. Youth from DBS colony and Nzanbemo Yanthan beautified the programme with songs and Zubeno Ezung spoke on behalf of the children about mother’s love. Y Abel Lotha (Catechist) pronounced the special prayers for the mothers and benediction.
