PCCI, PTYS, ACAUT Phek unit protest against threat

Phek Town Chamber of Commerce and Industries (PCCI) along with Phek Town Youth Society (PTYS) and ACAUT Nagaland, Phek unit have decided to close down shops within Phek Town Jurisdiction on May 19 as a protest against threats meted to the business communities allegedly by NSCN (K) kilonser Thupuvezo Keyho.
In a press note, ACAUT Phek unit media cell alleged that Thupuvezo Keyho ordered the business communities to boycott ACAUT Nagaland rally which was to be held on May 15. The Phek unit also alleged that the kilonser demanded a sum of Rs. 10,000 & 5,000 as penalties from certain businessmen on May 17.
Keyho along with his bodyguard even went on to assault the shopkeeper and threatened them with a gun, alleged ACAUT Nagaland, Phek unit. The Phek unit said Thupuvezo also threatened public leaders for bringing ACAUT Nagaland team to Phek and even tried to disrupt the rally but he was stopped by the authority.
PCCI, PTYS, ACAUT also asked the kilonser why he was against the rally and under which authority he was threatenig the leaders and demanding money from businessmen for not heeding to his order.
The NGOs of Phek Town also warned him that if he kept indulging in such acts, they would not remain silent and he would be held responsible for any untoward action including non-cooperation to his faction.
ACAUT Phek unit representatives from all the mass based organizations, business community, youth also reaffirmed their decision to stand by “one government one tax”.
