Rio, C.M Chang condole demise of Dr. R. Zinyu

Nagaland chief minister Neiphiu Rio has condoled the demise of Dr. Rüünguto Zinyu, retired director of medical services who passed away Sunday morning after brief illness in Kohima. In a condolence message, Rio said late Dr. Zinyu was a prominent citizen of Kohima who made immense contributions towards uplift of society. During his career, he held various positions in the department and rose to the rank of director.
Dr. Zinyu gave the best years of his life in serving the state government and even after retirement, he continued to serve the people by taking active part in mass based organizations, said Rio. Rio said Dr. Zinyu’s passing away was a great loss to the society in general and the Angamis in particular and the vacuum created would be difficult to fill for years to come.
Rio offered his deepest condolences to the bereaved family members and prayed that his soul rests in peace.
C.M Chang: Minister of education, C.M Chang in a condolence message said Dr. Zinyu was a personal friend of his over a long period of time and served the people of the state as a doctor, administrator and a committed social worker after his retirement from government service.
Chang said he was a straight forward person and never tried to hide anything as he was courageous and had conviction. “His demise is not only a personal loss to me but the void created by his absence will be felt by all those who knew him closely”, said the minister. C.M Chang said he and his family prayed to the Almighty to give strength to the bereaved family members to overcome this period of grief.
