Members of Dimabang Halali Hosom ( Society), Dimapur, Saturday, planted about 300 saplings at Darogajan, Bamunpukhuri-I & II Village respectively.
The society planted the saplings at the premises of Government Middle Schools, Temple , community hall etc.
The plantation programme was organized to observe the World Environment Day on June 5 2014. However, due to lack quality saplings the programme was postponed and observed Saturday.
Meanwhile, the society has acknowledged and appreciated the Range Officers of Department of Forest, Dimapur District for issuing and supplying the saplings.
GBs, chairman, women folk, students of the respective villages also participated in the programme.
The society has also appealed the respective village authority, School in-charges to take care and protect the planted saplings.
