In a search operation, the troops of 5 Assam Rifles apprehended one alleged “weapon peddler” June 20 from Khumishe-B village.
According to PRO IGAR (N), the apprehended person has been identified as Khekato Chophy, son of Vitoi Chophy, resident of Atunakagho village, Zunheboto district. One .22 rifle (Czech made), one magazine, one 12 bore rifles, 08 assorted live rounds and other warlike stores was recovered.
The apprehend person was handed over to Suruhuto police station, stated the PRO.
