With the objective to facilitate and create opportunity for Self Help Groups (SHGs), KVK, Nagaland University (NU), Lumami, has conducted a training cum demonstration programme July 10 at Atoizu.
Addressing the training programme, SMS Sentimenla Jamir spoke on the importance of vermicompost for sustaining soil health and also conducted demonstration on vermicompost making.
Meanwhile, Naro Anichari demonstrated on jam, juice and pickle preparations to uplift the economy among the women folk.
Dr. Nongothung Ezung delivered on backyard poultry farming and management practice on economic service production using audio-visual aid. The training had benefited 52 women from 13 Self Help Groups with a hope that women folk would contribute to the development and economic output in turn.
