Population stabilization fortnight camp in Longleng

World Population Stabilization Fortnight activity is underway on the theme “A planned family source of happiness” at Longleng from July 11-24. Family planning camp is also carried out in all the health units in the district in commemoration of the population fortnight.
In order to mobilize the people, the IEC personnel along with the district media officer, BPM’s and Asha coordinators have been visiting villages and conducting focus group discussions, IPC sessions on the importance of family planning. 
During the camping, around 15 IUCD and eight female sterilizations were performed. An IUCD and female sterilization service was provided in the District Hospital, Longleng, while condoms, contraceptives pills, posters and leaflets on local dialect are being distributed to all the respective health units.
