MBCD expresses joy on 25 yrs of existence

Meitei Baptist Church, Dimapur (MBCD) has expressed its immense joy in completing 25 years of its existence in Nagaland’s commercial hub.
Silver jubilee committee secretary Vinod Khaba said MBCD held its silver jubilee from July 25 to July 27 with the theme “Christ our redeemer” Gal. 3.13. The jubilee celebration was graced by Rev, Th. Kumar, former executive secretary of MBA, Wangjing, Manipur. There were five services during the silver jubilee celebration, said Khaba.
The jubilee choir comprising of members from Lotha Baptist Church, Dimapur enthralled the participants with their “touching and excellent” renditions of the Gospel in Meiteilon, said the jubilee committee secretary.
A special cultural dance troupe from Imphal performed a dance based on the Gospel song while Meitei Baptist Church, Kohima presented a song.
Women members from Chumukedima Meitei Baptist Church, MBCD and a team from Peren district enlivened the church members with their songs. Sunday school children and youth members also presented dance items.
Thos who spoke during the services include Rev, Dr. ZK Rochill, Rev, Ph. Dhanashwor, Rev. Th. Kumar, Rev R.P. Murry and Dr. Kethoser Kevichusa. MBCD also expressed gratitude to all local “brothers and sisters” who helped the Church during the celebration.
