A mass social work was carried out at Kohima box cutting road near war cemetery on August 2 under the initiative of Minister of forest Dr. Nicky Kire and parliamentary secretary for irrigation and flood control and election Y Vikheho Swu.
During the social work some deep-rooted grass and tree samples were planted on both side of the road to create awareness for eco-friendly environment in and around the site. Officials from PWD (R&B) department, KDVFA members and NPF party social workers from 9th Kohima town assembly constituency also took part in the mass social work.
