Thetsumi welfare society Dimapur (TWSD) has mourned the demise of its joint secretary late Mawia Lasuh, who passed away July 26 at District Civil Hospital Dimapur. In a condolence message, union chairman Nietsolo Venuh and secretary Keve Nuh described late Mawia Lasuh as “a committed and selfless person” who always put the welfare and interest of the society before his own. They further said that his commitment and concern for the welfare of the less privileged section of the society made him “stand out from most of us”. The union expressed that it has lost a true son and young leader for TWSD in particular and Thetsumi village in general. TWSD conveyed condolences to the bereaved family members and prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace.
