Following the instruction received from Union Ministry of Home Affairs on October 12, 2012, Foreigners Registration officer, Dimapur Friday said a central database of foreign students in India was to be created so as to monitor their performance and movement.
For this purpose a software module – ‘S Form Module’ has been developed to facilitate on-line filling of the particulars of foreign students by the educational institute, where foreigners were enrolled as student/research scholars, to provide on line information and Unique ID of the students to Foreigners Registration Office (FRO).
For non compliance of order, action would be initiated against the institute and no case of registration/visa extension of any foreign student would be entertained in the registration office.
According to the FRO, the The ‘S Form Module’ has already been implemented in Dimapur, Nagaland on March 14, 2014.
To avoid inconvenience to the foreigner student, all formalities to register the college/ department/ faculty should be completed at the earliest.
