Dr. Abeny W Khuvung of Wokha district has been shortlisted as one of the finalists from a group of 27 contestants (East Region) at the Femina Miss Diva Universe Kolkata audition.
Dr. Abeny Khuvung (24 years), 1st Runner up Miss Nagaland 2013, Ms Benjongmenla (21 years), Miss Nagaland 2013, and Ms Imlibenla (18 years) Miss Nagaland 2012, represented Nagaland at the East Region auditions in Kolkatta with the initiative of the Beauty and Aesthetics Society of Nagaland (BASN).
Though all the 3 Naga girls made it to the top 13, only 5 finalists were selected to represent the East region at the final audition which would be held in Mumbai. All the regional finalists would then be auditioned in Mumbai where 20 to 25 top finalists would be selected from among them after which they would take part in a reality series where the winner would be selected to represent India at the Miss Universe Pageant.
It may be mentioned that Dr. Abeny also won the prestigious title of Miss Yamaha Fascino Kolkata 2014. She will be representing Yamaha Fascino for Kolkata.
Dr. Abeny did her education from Don Bosco School, Wokha, and Don Bosco Higher Secondary School, Kohima. She is presently a House Surgeon at AM Shaikh Homeopathy Medical College, Belgaum, in Karnataka.
