KVC issues notice to Saddle ‘C’, and Chendang villages

With regard to Saddle ‘C’ and Chendang village imbroglio, the Kuthur village council, as a parent village, had issued a standing and a clear notice on the bases of Customary Law and Practices that neither villages had the right to dictate or  threat or impose  or claim a domain.
In a press release, KVC chairman J. Shokum and head GB Shophu stated that on serving this notice, if any of the said villagers created chaos and confusion, the Kuthur village would impose any kind of action on the defaulting village.
YVC flays Saddle C incident
Yakor village Council (YVC) has condemned the Saddle ‘C’ village incident, where the standing crops were destroyed by the mob of Chendang village August 7 night.
Expressing dismay over such kind of illegal activities, YVC chairman T. Ramji and Yakor village head GB J.Kiumukam, in a press release, stated that the Yimchungru community of C/Saddle (Sangpongtang) were cultivating their jhum fields in the land given to them by the ancestors of Yakor village.
