Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) has warned against artificial scarcity and undue price rise of essential commodities. In a press release, DMC administrator K. Tarep Imchen said due to the ongoing economic blockade in Assam, there have been reports of artificial scarcity and price rise on essential commodities. In an effort to curb the phenomenon, DMC has deputed officials to conduct checking and warned that if anyone was indulging in the act, action would be initiated against such defaulter under the provision of law. DMC administrator also requested all to contact DMC grievance cell (03862232610 & 09856901584) for redressal of their grievances.
