Ashlee Simpson dons lacy white gown to say ‘I do’ to Evan Ross

Not even the rain could spoil Ashlee Simpson’s spirits on her special day.
The 29-year-old singer-actress exchanged vows with Evan Ross, 26, on Sunday at the Greenwich, Connecticut estate owned by his famous mother Diana Ross.
Ashlee stayed true to form by blending traditional with a sprinkling of Bohemian touches throughout the festivity that was officiated by Diana.
Although the rain delayed the start of the ceremony, Ashlee merely waited on the mansion’s front steps for the wet weather to subside with her ivory-clad bridesmaids and her sister Jessica, who was matron-of-honour.  ‘They waited for the rain to stop, but it only added to the beauty of the property and ceremony,’ a source told People.
Ashlee looked like a mythical princess in her non-traditional gown that featured a white crop top underneath a clingy covering of lace that stretched to her forearms and a full skirt that flowed to the tops of her gem-studded, ankle-strapped stilettos.  She wore jewelry by Neil Lane, and a headband twinkling with more gems adorned her wavy long platinum tresses with dark blonde roots.
Her bridemaids were Jessica’s former assistant and BFF CaCee Cobb, and pals Kelly Blair, Kimberly Ryan, Alicia Sevani, Yisney Terrero, Nia Sanchez, Chudney Ross, Rhonda Ross and Tracee Ross, according to E! News.
Each of the ladies wore unique white gown and carried earthy bouquets of white roses, freesia and cascading fern.
Jessica, who preceded Ashlee down the rustic, lantern-lit pathway, continued that Bohemian trend in a tight-fitting, low-cut and white lace gown, while her light blonde hair was partially held back by a beaded headband.
Ashlee’s five-year-old son Bronx – from her previous marriage to rocker Pete Wentz – escorted her down the aisle.
Jessica’s two-year-old daughter Maxwell was flower girl in a white dress and one-year-old son Ace served as ring bearer.
The groom was decked in a black suit by Dolce & Gabbana and his groomsmen wore white jackets, black bow ties and black trousers.
Evan’s groomsmen featured best man Ross Naess, Jessica’s husband Eric Johnson, Donald Faison, Gregory Andrews, Jovar Andrews, Dallas Austin, Jaz-man Bennett, Paul Blair, Daniel Booko, Tony DeNiro, Josh Faulkner, De’Vaughn Nixon, V Sevani and Jessy Terrero, as E! News reported.
Diana Ross, 70, not only officiated the ceremony, but was said to have orchestrated the event to the finest detail with celebrity wedding planner Mindy Weiss.
