UBC organises musical night

Summer sensational nite, a musical evening on Sunday, organized by the youth department of United Baptist Church (UBC) at Chotto Lengri Ground, Karbi Anglong, Assam, saw many untapped talents from the Naga youth those residing in the vicinity.
All the special items presented were well appreciated by the gatherings including old and young alike who converged to witness the musical evening braving the little downpour.
Speaking as the guest speaker, executive chairperson of Akheda Sangtam Tshingmujing (AST), apex body of Sangtam women organization, Lisela Sangtam, advised the participants to fear God which according to her is the beginning of knowledge. She also acknowledged the creative programme organized by the UBC youth department.
Citing that talents in singing and playing instrument are the gifts of God, Akheda also encouraged the participants to nurture their talents and be an instrument to save the lost souls. She further advised the parents to encourage their wards in their chosen fields of interest to glorify God.
Guest of honour, P Honko Luklem, while addressing the gathering, said that a person should be satisfied with ones’ own talent while he also reminded them that there is no shortcut to success in life.
Advising the youth to tread carefully in their life’s journey, he also said all difficulties can be overcome with a positive attitudes and endurance.
Earlier, the programme started with an invocation prayer by pastor L Ezung, while benediction was pronounced by women leader, Amenla Longkumer.
Various dances and songs were presented by the youth at the musical evening which was organized in aid of “musical instrument” for the church’s youth department.
