LCS&RTI lauds Dimapur police

LCS&RTI, Dimapur district lauded the “Hercules action of Dimapur police” in unearthing the illegal taxation network. In a press release, LC&RTI president Khekuto Tuccu and asst. Press secretary Rohit Dayal said police busted one of the most important of heavy tax burden affecting consumers. It said “the situation (tax burden) not only victimizes consumer retail outlets but also the public directly or indirectly including the alleged persons, groups, organizations etc. who are also consumers.” In the light of the crackdown, LCS&RTI urged the district administration and DMC to look into control of prices of essential commodities and others. The society urged all business establishments to co-operate with the district administration and DMC to maintain the price in Dimapur during the period of crisis so that other districts do not get affected.
