All Nagaland Graduate Primary Teachers Association (ANGPTA) Phek district unit has resolved to support ANGPTA central body demand for giving graduate status to primary teachers possessing post graduate and graduate qualifications. In a press release, ANGPTA Phek unit said teachers with higher educational qualifications who have been serving as primary teachers have been discriminated and overlooked, lamenting that higher educational qualification had no significance and connotations in education department.
Further, ANGPTA unit appealed to the department to validate the demand and endorse the proposed demand at the earliest. It also requested every right thinking individuals to support and share the solidarity of ANGPTA demand.
