DCCI lauds Dmu Police

Dimapur Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) Saturday lauded Dimapur Police personnel for cracking down on a number of criminal activities in Dimapur in the past few days.
In a press release, DCCI president Hokivi Chishi said busting of “organized gang crimes such as abduction, vehicle theft, extortion racket, illegal taxation network etc.” were accomplishment of proficient policing. He said all citizens should appreciate the police and also support them in performing their duty so as to keep town free of crimes.
The town and its public could not live in peace and security as long as there was presence of crimes and illegal activities, said DCCI president.
With regard to the illegal taxation network, DCCI president opined that trade licenses of those transport and goods companies should be cancelled if they were found involved in the “taxation network” operating in connivance with underground cadres.
Hokivi Chishi said it was pertinently observed that rampant bailing out of those arrested by the police for “involving and carrying out” crimes was further encouraging the criminals to continue committing more crimes.
Dimapur Chamber of Commerce and Industry appealed law enforcing agencies not grant bail to any criminal in the days to come.
Further, the DCCI expressed hope that Dimapur Police would continue to perform its duty efficiently and keep Dimapur and its citizens safe and secure.
