District Legal Services Authority, Mon, has conducted a Legal Awareness Class at District Institute of Educational Training (DIET), Mon, on September 27 with the participation of more than fifty persons including both the students and trainers.
Ashibu Rengma, Principal, DIET, Mon, chaired the programme, while Neiko Kanuo, Chairman of DLSA Mon, Ms Mannon Konyak- penal lawyer, DLSA Mon, Ms Angun Konyak – penal lawyer, DLSA Mon, were the main resource persons; They spoke on the topics – “Importance of Legal Services Authority Act 1987,” “Activities of DLSA Mon and its benefits to people,” “Practical laws and duties on citizens,” and “Right to Education Act 2009.”
During the interaction session, issues on Consumer’s Rights, Right to Education Act, Rights against Domestic Violence were discussed.
DIET Principal has thanked DLSA Mon for conducting such important programme for the institution.
