Eviction order kept in abeyance at KSC

Eviction order that was be to carried out September 29 at Kohima Science College, Jotsoma by the deputy administration, Kohima has been kept in abeyance on the ground that its execution would give rise to law and order problems.
An order issued by additional chief secretary and commissioner, Nagaland Toshi Aier stated that the eviction order of the deputy commissioner should be temporarily stayed in the larger interest of maintaining public peace and tranquillity.
According to a DIPR report, eviction order has been stayed till October 31, 2014.
Further, the deputy commissioner has been directed to obtain in written, an assurance of the Jotsoma Village Council that after the period prayed for by the Council, the Council would actively assist the district administration in the eviction process.
