Nagaland Women Voluntary Association (NWVA) organized sales day at the old Heritage Bungalow, Kohima October 2 and 3.
Brief introduction about the objectives of the two day sales was presented by NWVA secretary Jakhalu.
According to a press release, proceeds of the two-day event would be utilized by the NWVA for charitable purposes and also to uplift the poor and downtrodden section of the society.
At the sales day, variety of eye catching and colourful flowers were displayed for the visitors to see, buy and take home.
Items for sale included different variety of flowers, vegetables, tree saplings, take away packed food etc. Another main attraction of the sales day was food stall where homemade packed food like pickles, fried chicken, sausages etc were sold and food items were prepared and donated by the association members.
The inauguration programme was attended by NWVA president Kevi Rangkau and wife of chief minister Nagaland T.R. Zeliang, association members, and well-wishers.
