Deputy commissioner (DC) and district planning and development board (DPDB) Peren vice chairman Peter Lichamo has informed on the verification of work charge employees and casual employees in the district.
Speaking at the monthly DPDB meeting of Peren district October 9 at DC’s conference hall, DC Peren said the verification team would visit every office on the appointed date to ascertain the genuine employees. Heads of offices and the DDOs are to furnish records of such employees available to the verification team headed by D.C. himself before October 17, stated a DIPR report.
At the meeting, review of the last DPDB meeting was taken up. .Among others, the ensuing Peren District Inter – departmental Badminton Tournament, scheduled to be held tentatively from November 12- 14 was reviewed at length. The event of the tournament would include both men and women singles and doubles respectively. Mixed doubles of one team from each department can be represented. All regular Government employees serving under Peren district are eligible to take part as players. Last date of submission of entry fee and player’s list is fixed on October 31.
Maintenance of roads and canal provisions at Jalukie Town by the administration headed by Rhosietho Nguori SDO(C) Jalukie was lauded by the board, for the initiatives in spite of the many shortcomings, technical and local problems. The chairman lauded the efforts of the officer and further seek co-operation from the public to see the light of the day.
Earlier, three officers namely Imtimenla project director Akokba Tarep, EE Irrigation and Anthony Yhome, Sub. R.C.S co-operation were introduced to the board as new members.
