October 14, 2014 | by admin

Tuensang Town All Sector Union (TTASU) while responding to the press statement made by DC Mokokchung Sushil Kumar Patel the then ADC Tuensang on September 14 reiterated its claim that the latter has misused the funds while implementing the works allotted under 13th  Finance  Commission.
A press release by T.Y. Sangtam president and L. Mongba Yimchungru executive chairman TTASU reiterated that the union detected the works implemented under the 13th finance commission as not satisfactory for which it submitted a complaint letter to the deputy commissioner Tuensang on May 8 for clarification of the matter within five days. On not receiving a reply even after three months, TTASU said that it submitted an ultimatum to the DC Tuensang on August 5 wherein the DC comply and responded along with a copy of verification  committee report Vide order  No. RTI-2005/PIO/TSG/2014-15 Dated  11/8/2014 with  the direction to the  then  ADC & CEO, TTC Sushil Kumar Patel IAS,  to handover the  remaining  amount  of Rs. 1,28,815   to  Robert Longchar the present ADC & CEO TTC within the period of 30 days.
The union expressed surprised that the so far the present ADC has not received the said amount from Sushil Kumar thereby failing to comply with the DC’s order. TTASU also alleged that instead of cooperating with the subordinate officers and TTASU, Sushil has termed the allegation made by it as “baseless”.
In reply to this, the union has pointed out two works out of the ten that was implemented by the then ADC Tuensang.  TTASU claimed that an amount of Rs. 6, 21, 175 Lakh was spent for construction of 90 Ft. drainage at fish market. However, the union said that in its estimation the expenditure on the work will not exceed Rs. 1, 03, 000 lakh. It also alleged that an amount of Rs. 6, 54, 475 was shown as to have spent for construction of drainage at High School sector, however according to the union, one A Temjen Chang as sub-contractor has stated in his written statement that he received Rs. 95, 000 through M/S Vinod Enterprises Tuensang.
Stating that the then ADC Tuensang and present DC Mokokchung work was found to be unsatisfactory for which a complaint was lodged, the union alleged Sushil of making his “own arrangement” without the knowledge of the concern sector for implementation of works.
Thus, TTASU has requested the concern authority to take immediate action on the matter failing which the union said that it would “take its own course of action”.
