Dog show held in Dimapur

Furry Friend’s Pet Store has organized a dog show for the first time ever in Dimapur at Urban Haat on Saturday which was witnessed with enthusiastic participation of dog lovers and owners.
Around 37 pet dogs of different breeds have participated in the show in various categories such as best of breed, fancy dress competition, cutest dog, ugliest dog, obedience and best hairstyle.
Participants were judged under various categories by Yangti (dog trainer) and Suvanker from Guwahati and the prizes were handed out by Col. Kanwar Vikram Singh, ex MLA Atovi Sumi, ASM pedigree Rohit and Dr. Wati. Winners were awarded with gifts and cash prizes.
The prize for the “Best breed” was won by Scotch (Golden Retriever) owner Col. Kanwar Vikram Singh, while the second was won by Pogger (Labrador) owner Debu Roy and third position by Venus (Bull Mastiff) owner Dr. Wati.
In the “Cutest dog” category, the first prize was won by Yui (Chiwuahua) owner Toshi Longchar, second position by Preston (Pug) owner Kika and third position by Dashi (Dachshund) owner Aman Siddique.
In the “Fancy dress” category, the first prize was won by Lennon (Golden Retriever) owner Tina Sümi, second position was won by Diego (Chiwuaha) owner Toshi Longchar and Ronnie (Tibetian Spaniel) owner Nicky Changkiri, while third position was won by Rooney (Dachshund) owner Aman Siddique and Princess (Pug) owner A Moarenla Jamir.
In the “Ugliest dog” category, the first prize was won by Daisy (mix breed) owner Tamennaro, while in the “Best hairstyle” category, the first position was won by Timow (Lhasa Apso) owner Alotoli Elizabeth Yepthomi and second position by Cooper (Shihtzu) owner Lamsong. In the “Obedient” category, the first prize was won by Scotch (Golden Retriever) owner Col. Kanwar Vikram Singh.
