JSS organises academic assembly

 Janjati Shiksha Samiti (JSS), Vidya Bharati, Nagaland, has held an academic assembly programme at Rotary Hall, Dimapur, on February 28 to celebrate the birth anniversary of freedom fighter Padmabhushan recipient Rani Gaidinliu.
In a press release JSS president, Piyongtemjen Jamir, said the programme was graced by the Vice Chancellor of the Global Open University, Dr. Hemchandra Nath Dutta, as the chief guest and the Director of Technical Education, Government of Nagaland, Athili Kathipri, as the guest of honour. Dean, School of Engineering and Technology, Prof. DP Chaturvedi, was the main speaker.
In his speech, the chief guest said our freedom fighters, scholars, forefathers, great artists, scientist, great players, shahid etc. gave inspiration for the uplift and development of societies and country. He, therefore, said we should connect such inspiration as a part of education while he also called upon academicians to impart true education.
He further said Gaidinliu was one great women of our country, whose sacrifice gave inspiration to all. Dr. Dutta concluded his speech with full of appreciation for Janjati Shiksha Samiti for organising the academic assembly.
Guest of honour, Athili Kathipri, thanked JSS for organizing such a programme. He shared about the secret of Korean’s success in the field of education through human resources.
He further said if Indian scientists working for Americans return to their homeland India and work for his country, then India would not be any lesser than America or Korea.
The main speaker of the programme Prof. DP Chaturvedi explained the topic ‘Seva and Dharm’ through education.
Papers on ‘Lessons from the life of freedom fighter Padmbhushan Gaidinliu, to protect & develop the culture of societies’, ‘National integration through education and morality in education: downfall and diagonosis,’ were presented by Tasile Zeliang, N Dutta and Assistant Professor Sanjukta Bhattacharjee respectively.
The programme was conducted by student of St. Xavier College, Jalukie, Wimesinlu Nbung, and the vote of thanks was delivered by JSS working president, Monoj Bhattacharjee.
