RD dept bids farewell to Commissioner

Department of Rural Development has organized a farewell programme in honour of its Commissioner and Secretary, V Sakhrie, on February 26 in the RD’s conference hall, Kohima.  On the occasion, Minister for RD and REPA, CL John, expressed his appreciation to the retiring Commissioner and Secretary for being one of the most sincere officers, who spent the best of his tenure in the service of his people.
Short speeches were delivered by the Director, Metsubo Jamir, Director of SIRD Limasenla, Joint Secretary Martha Ritse, and MD NSRLM Mothuthung.  Taliyanger, president NRDSA, projector director DRDA Asangla Aier, and BDO Chumukedima K Yamao Konyak, also spoke on the occasion. The Commissioner and Secretary, in his farewell speech, has thanked all the officers for their support and co-operation and encouraged them to uphold and maintain team spirit.
The programme was chaired by Hilo Semp, Additional Director RD. The programme started with an invocation by Thungdeno Mozhuii, Joint Director, followed by special song by Atoli Sema. The vote of thanks was proposed by Imlimeren Jamir, Joint Director.
