Hillsong live worship in Kohima

A popular Christian worship team “Hillsong” from London is scheduled to perform on the stage on the theme “The sound of the new generation” from March 27 – 29, organized by Youth Department of Nagaland Baptist Church Council (NBCC) at Kohima local ground. This was announced by the youth secretary NBCC, Vikuo Rhi, during press conference held at NBCC office, Bavayü, Kohima, on Monday attended by Moa Imsong, convenor planning committee, Khrievi Sahu, NBCC youth coordinator and member planning committee, Lezo Putsure, member publicity, and Jennifer Veyie, secretary planning committee.
Rhi said the music festival was aimed to glorify God and also for spiritual renewal through the live worship with Hillsong. He said such mega programme was a privileged for all the churches in the state to come and worship together as every church cannot organize such big event. NBCC youth secretary said young people needed encouragement to worship God lively and vibrantly to enrich their spiritual lives.
Rhi said Christian life should shine even outside the church and leave behind the traditional way of worshipping where many people never grew spiritually stronger. He said the programme would greatly bless and teach many things for the young people and church leaders.
The planning committee members informed that there would be workshop for pastors and leaders, youth pastors and leaders on March 28 at 10 a.m. to 1pm at Union Baptist Church and for worship and production team at Sumi Baptist Church Kohima from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The members informed that 10 persons from London and 25 persons from Kolkata would come for the music festival. The main speaker would be Pastor Gary Clarke, senior pastor Hillsong, London.
The organizers were expecting more than 15,000 people from different corners of the state and from the neighbouring states. Organizers also extended invitation to everybody irrespective of denomination to come and receive the blessings through songs, worship and hearing God’s words.
