CAN Youth organizes vocational training; attends ‘World Youth Summit 2015’ in Imphal

Skill and vocational training programme was conducted  for the  school/college drop outs girls under project “Discover Positive” on March 28 at Amaluma Village, Dhansiripar Sub Division by CAN Youth (formerly known as Youngs’ Club)
Altogether 17 girls between 18 to 32 ages participated in the training programme. The girls were trained on tailoring, knitting and making of tea costar, hair stick, ear ring and cushions by trainers Ashinuo Belho and Marina Gonmei.
In the programme, secretary of CAN Youth Samuel walling said that the project aims to enable school/college drop-outs and underprivileged youths to transcend from dependency to independency by facilitating them to face challenges whilst enhancing their talents/abilities for a productive life. 
He said project discover positive target to reach out 200 drop out students and under privileged youth by 2016 and train them on various livelihood skills. 
Meanwhile, CAN Youth a nonprofit organization and youth led initiative from Nagaland represented India along with other states in the recently “World Youth Summit 2015” from March 29 to April 2 at Imphal, Manipur under the theme “Youth for Global Empowerment’’.
 The summit was declared on the inaugural day by chief minister of Manipur O. Ibobi Singh along with other Ministers, MLAs and Bureaucrats from State and Central Level.
Founder CAN Youth Jenpu Rongmei gave a presentation on Aspiration and Problems of School/ College Drop outs. Gugu Haralu and Senti K Kichu who represented the CAN on group presentation was declared the best presentation on the topic “Conservation of Biodiversity for sustainability development”.
