Amenba asks Mokokchung DPDB members to be active

Presiding over the meeting of Mokokchung District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) as new chairman, MLA Amenba Yaden urged all the members to actively participate in the deliberations with all seriousness as the  DPDB was the highest decision making body  in the district.
According to a DIPR report, the monthly meeting of DPDB Mokokchung was held in the ADC (Planning) conference hall on April 7.
Delivering his maiden speech, Amenba said it was a privilege for him to head the DPDB and sought cooperation from all the members. 
Stressing on regular attendance of all the members in the DPDB, he said regular attendance would immensely help officers who were expected to become HoDs later.
During discussions, S.P Mokokchung, Aotemsu, who is also the president of Mokokchung football association, sought cooperation from all the members towards ensuing Veteran Football tournament scheduled to commence from April 14 in the Imkongmeren sports complex, Mokokchung. 
He also thanked HoDs for donation towards the tournament and reminded others to do so as the host Mokokchung Veteran Football Association was making best efforts to make the tournament a grand success despite meagre fund with the Association. 
He said about 250 veteran footballers were expected participate from 10 districts.
Opening of sub divisional horticulture office at Tuli, change of nomenclature of Kinder Garden School to Little Garden School tuli, Joint District Level vigilance and Monitoring Committee meeting to be held at Mokokchung on April 10, laying of rail road to Tuli and registration of Purjem society, Kangtsung were discussed in the meeting and decided to forward approval of the DPDB to the concerned departments.
The meeting also took up discussions on problem of parking space in the town and shifting of NST buses and private transport operators to ISBT. With regard to ease parking problem, the meeting decided to constitute a committee.
DC Mkg launches ‘governance for all: empowering people’
Deputy commissioner (DC) Mokokchung Sushil Kumar Patel launched ‘governance for all: empowering people’ during the monthly DPDB meeting, Tuesday. 
According to an official bulletin, this ambitious scheme is expected to become the best platform and established channels to cater to the needs of the people in the district in totalistic manner. Conceived by Patel himself, it aims at apprising of various developments to the people and to make it an open channel for all HoDs with various stakeholders in the district.
Under this scheme, the district administration opened one facebook account in the name of ‘DC MKG’ (id:dcmkgchungoffice@yahoo.in), which would be operated under the supervision of the DC Mokokchung. 
Interested people could send request for any information to the ‘DC MKG’ and based on the authenticity, the friendly request shall be accepted or summarily rejected.
The aim of this Account is to have at least one person/household connected to this group so any information shall be passed on to every household of Mokokchung district. 
Besides, DC Mokokchung shall have one Whatsapp group of all the HoDs. This would help sharing of all relevant information across the departments. 
DC said this scheme would effectively used in dissemination of information, awareness campaign, border related issues/disaster management, law and order situation and elections.
