The street play was performed by the District Adolescent Club with the aim to provide awareness on adolescent health. 10 members from the Club took part in the play which was based on early marriage and drug abuse.
The programme saw a good turn out with maximum attendance from the school along with other community members.
Athung, student of Class X said, “This is the first time such a programme is being held in the school. It would be good if we had similar programmes such as this every now and then.” Like some of the other students, he also had questions about WIFS as to where he could avail them.
As a true educator, Limawati, vice principal of Government Higher Secondary School, closed the programme by saying, “We should not just listen about what is being taught but it should also be practiced, as a wise citizen and as a community builder.”
