Urban Development Department in a notification has informed that as per the guidelines for Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM) of the Ministry of Urban Development, Government of India, the Governor of Nagaland has designate the SBM State Mission Directorate (SMD) in the Urban Development Department for the management of Swachh Bharat Mission (Urban) at the State level with immediate effect.
The director, Urban Development, Nagaland is designated as the State Mission Director (SMD) and shall be the Member-Secretary of the State High Powered Committee (S-HPC) for the Swachh Bharat Mission in the State.
The SMD will create/notify a uniform structure across the State for the planning, designing, project preparation, appraisal, sanction and implementation of sanctioned projects under the Mission at the ULB level in line to the advisories issued by the National Mission Directorate from time-to-time.
The Mission Directorate shall be supported by a dedicated Project Management Unit (PMU) on an outsourced basis.
