
A new Delhi-basedChristian ministry — Divine Bridge Ministries (DBM) – initiated by Supongchiten, was commissioned by Chuchuyimpang Baptist Church (CBC) at his native village, Chuchuyimpang on May 3.
The ministry is aimed to engage in mission, evangelism, social, cultural, educational, spiritual activities and charitable works in Delhi NCR, North India and South East Asian (SEA) countries.
According to founder director of DBM Supongchiten, the ministry was registered with the government of Delhi and the programme of the ministry includes church planting, mercy ministry, literature ministry, house of prayer, children’s ministry, leadership development and youth ministry.
DBM also provides free education and career counselling service under EduAide career and counselling service for students hailing from Nagaland and other North Eastern (NE) states seeking admission in various schools, colleges and universities.
The ministry would also support Nagas and NE people in need of help and in times of trouble.
Meanwhile, addressing a press conference at the AKM (Ao Students’ Conference) presidential office, Mokokchung on Monday, the founder director of DBM Supongchiten said his mission would provide free guidance to the North East students seeking college admissions in Delhi NCR & North India through his ‘EduAide Career & Counselling Service’.
Supong maintained, as a citizen of Delhi, he had encountered on many occasions, in the past to assist students who had been duped by consultancies. He said ‘most innocent parents and students fall prey to middle-men, with the faults promises to be admitted at various renowned colleges by paying huge amount of money, which was never delivered’.
He said the students then ends up frustrated, sometimes being admitted in a wrong institution and even losing an academic year. Supong said he was now committed full time to professionally provide education and career counselling service for students seeking admission in various sectors, medical, engineering, law, mass com, civil services coaching, etc and also job placements.
AKM vice-president Akummeren lauded the noble initiatives and endeavour of Supongtemjen and his wife Moanaro Ao. He asserted AKM decided to extend full co-operation at a meeting held earlier for the welfare of the student community. He said AKM was even willing to set up a Help and Contact centre at the Office premise.
