Chang Students Union Tuensang Town (CSUTT) has expressed disappointment over the “anomalies” it found out in various schools within Tuensang town during “surprise visit” to schools on April 4.
In a press release, CSUTT stated that during the visit many problems were discussed with the school authorities and later reported to the sub divisional education officer (SDEO) Tuensang.
Several consultative meetings were also held with the school authorities, union said, adding that some genuine problems like insufficient distribution of school uniforms and textbooks were detected.
CSUTT stated that keeping of proxy teachers was found to be practiced commonly in spite of restriction by the government. Issue of staffs found absent was seriously noted, the union said and pointed out that complaint was forwarded to the competent authority.
