Guest teachers from Mumbai arrive in Nagaland

A team of thirteen teachers representing various schools from Mumbai has arrived in Nagaland under “people to people programme for national integration” under the initiative of Nagaland governor, P. B Archaya.
A fellowship dinner was also hosted for the guest teachers at Unity College where various government officials, educationalists, intellectuals, community leaders and NGOs from Dimapur district attended for an informal interaction session with the visiting teachers.
The teachers are visiting the State at the invitation of Nagaland Governor and further encouraged by Indian National Fellowship Centre (INFC) – an NGO based in Maharashtra working for North East with an aim to strengthen emotional integration and bond between people of different states.
The team will be visiting Peren, Jalukie and Kohima and will also be guest fellowship teachers in various government and private run schools across the state till May 19.
Mention may be made that this is the first interaction between Maharashtra and Nagaland in the sphere of education. The team is led by Principal, Gopal Sharma International School, Pawai, Mumbai, Gool Gadali. On arrival at Dimapur they were received by deputy district education officer, Dimapur along with other officials from the Directorate of School Education Nagaland.
