Training on district level implementation of RKVY

Second phase training on district level implementation of RKVY 2014-15 for CIG groups was held at Congress Bhavan Mon town May 14. Organized by the department of cooperation, Mon, the training was held on the theme “training on skill development and enterprises”.
Speaking at the programme, DHO Mon Bongti Konyak said Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana (RKVY) scheme was launched by the central government focusing on agri –allied sector and to raise production in the country.
He lamented that despite having hundreds of registered co-operative societies in Mon, most of those societies were solely formed to avail subsidies and other such funds from the government and did nothing on their part.
DHO urged upon the CIG group leaders to disseminate whatever they have learnt at the training to villagers and other group members.
At the programme, key note address on ‘skill development &enterprises, practical and technical approach’ was delivering by Temsutoshi SMS (DAO) Mon.
DRCS Mon Tiyongmeren Jamir spoke on basic management & responsibilities of CIG members and SICS, i/c of RKVY Ajungse Sangtam on basic book keeping, maintenance of books and accounts.
The programme was chaired by DRCS Mon Tiyongmeren Jamir and invocation was said by APMC Mon secretary Nokphong.
