Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris show no signs of slowing down

She may well be wondering if this one is going to be forever, or if it will go down in flames. So on Tuesday night, Taylor Swift, 25, pulled out all the stops when it came to dressing for her hot date night with boyfriend Calvin Harris, 31. The pair were spotted hand in hand as they left her apartment in New York and headed out for dinner at L’asso restaurant in the city’s Little Italy.

Meanwhile her DJ beau Calvin wore his signature dark jeans and a leather jacket. The pair seem to be determined to make time for each other, despite their hectic schedules. And the singer certainly had plenty to celebrate on her date night, after being named the youngest woman ever to be included on the Forbes list of The World’s 100 Most Powerful Women earlier in the day. She was included at number 64 in the list released on Tuesday because, Forbes says, she ‘has not only broken record sales and captivated the world with her fantastically honest lyrics, but she has proven herself as an impressive businesswoman.’ 

Taylor, who’s 1989 album was her third consecutive release to sell one million copies in its first week, is described by the business bible as a ‘bona fide cross-genre, global megastar.’ Forbes said she has changed the nature of celebrity by posting personally on Twitter and Instagram and making time to engage with her fans or ‘Swifties’. It also cited her controversial decision to pull her music from the streaming service Spotify. ‘There’s no denying that she’s one of the most significant cultural influencers of our time,’ Forbes said. 

Joining Taylor on the Forbes list are fellow celebrities Oprah Winfrey, the most powerful woman in entertainment ranking 12, Beyonce at 21 and Ellen DeGeneres at number 50. 

Also making the cut are Angelina Jolie at number 54 on the list and Sofia Vergara at number 57.   Taylor is currently on her 1989 World Tour which will see her play dates across the globe until the end of the year, and Calvin is at the start of a three-year residency to DJ in Las Vegas. Far from hiding their romance, the pair really went to down when it came to PDAs at the Billboard Music Awards earlier this month. The Blank Space singer was spotted sitting in the front row next to the DJ at the star-studded event in Las Vegas, where the couple shared numerous romantic gestures.
