
As part of its “anti drug’s campaign”, GPRN/NSCN (I-M) Crime Suppression Department (CSD) and UT-1 destroyed huge quantity of seized IMFL and drugs at Hebron Colony, near camp Hebron on Wednesday.
The seized articles were destroyed and brunt in the presence of women organizations- Mangleu Kamdi Women Organization (MKWO) and Aqhahuto Area Sumi Totimi Hoho (AASTH), supervised by deputy kilonser i/c UT, Sevotso.
Seized articles included-Old monk 65 cases, one case each of whisky (OC blue) and Gin, 350 kgs of ganja, 6375 capsules of spasmo-proxyvon; 20 strips of nitrosun and 34 bottles of cough syrup.
The illegal substances were seized by CSD and UT-1 last month in and around Dimapur.
At a brief destruction programme, Sevotso said while CSD have been trying to eradicate drugs, IMFL and other illicit substances menace from the society, some organization was going against them.
However, he said that CSD would deploy its available resources and would continue with its effort to eradicate illegal activities that was destroying the society.
On the other hand, the deputy kilonser sought support from those organizations including ACAUT and general public to the NSCN (I-M)’s fight for healthy environment.
Representatives from MKWO and AASTH while lauding the CSD for the commendable job have assured to extend support in the fight against drugs, IMFL and other illegal activities.
Earlier, the destruction programme was conducted by additional secretary CSD incharge, Akaho Assumi.
