National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) employees were once gripped with untold struggles and miseries due to non-payment of salaries since last three months reportedly halted by state treasury.
NRHM employee sources informed Nagaland Post that the salary for March, April and May have not been released while even the salary for December, January and February was released only in the month of May. Sources disclosed that the centre has already sanctioned the amount for the employees, which has been lying with the state treasury. It may be recalled that in July 2014, NRHM agitated in the H & FW directorate for non-release of salary. They had stated that medical department in the state was functioning because of the NRHM employees and asked the government to know the facts. However, the struggle of the employees seemed never ending as they have been facing such situation throughout the year.
