Gov urges for participation at International Yoga Day

In a message on the eve of International Yoga Day on June 21(Sunday) Governor of Nagaland and Assam P.B.Acharya said the world had finally recognised the importance of Yoga for a sound mind and a healthy body.
He termed it as “a victory for our ancient Saint Patanjali and an honour and recognition to the memories  of his great soul.”Acharya said it was a also a triumph of India’s contribution to good health and  sound mind formula for the world’s human race. 
He called upon all Indians to recognise “what we have and be proud of our heritage” .Stating that Indians recognise their valuable contributions in different aspects of life, the Governor said it was the beginning of the country’s road “ to the  top glory in the community of  nations.” The Governor appealed to all schools, colleges, universities, NGOs, student organisations, trade unions and all public to “participate in good numbers and groups in the International Day of Yoga celebrations on 21st June,2015”.
DoSE asks school to observe Yoga Day 
Department of School Education (DoSE) has directed to all the schools– government and private– to observe the International Day of Yoga on June 21 in their respective schools. In a press release, DoSE director, Zaveyi Nyekha further requested schools to submit the report along with photographs of the celebration to the director’s office for further submission to the government.
