AHSS, MGMHSS celebrate freshers’ day

Assisi Higher Secondary School (AHSS) Dimapur celebrated its freshers’ day on June 19 at the school campus with provincial superior, North East province, Rev. Sister Milly Fernandes as chief guest. Speaking at the event, Rev. Sister Milly Fernandes welcomed all the freshers and highlighted about the school environment. Asserting there was no shortcut to success, she urged students to work hard if they wanted to become a successful person in life.  Highlights of the programme included talent exhibition by the students and competitions. The titles of Mr. Fresher and Miss. Fresher 2015 were bagged by Akito Chophy and Lilamo Lotha respectively.

MGMHSS: MGM Higher Secondary School (MGMHSS) Midland, observed its 10th Fresher’s meet on June 20. Welcoming the fresher’s into the MGM family, school principal Rev. Fr. P.S. Varghese encouraged them to use every opportunity and practice the good values of education in daily life.  He also emphasized on character building as the main aim of education. Principal further advised them to think twice and act wise. 

Besides self introduction by freshers, different entertainment items were presented by Class XII students. Speeches were delivered by Katovi of Class XII and Naina of Class XI on behalf of their respective classes. Earlier, the programme began with an invocation prayer by Jemtinaro of Class XII and benediction was offered by Shamai of Class XII.
