Newly inducted NSCN (I-M) kilo kilonser Rh. Raising said that Naga political talk was about to enter its “final stage” of the journey and that the situation demands to renew “our” commitment and vow to the nation and God once again. Delivering a speech on “charge taking day” as kilo kilonser on June 25, Raising thanked NSCN (I-M) collective leadership reposing trust in him and allotting the portfolio of ministry of kilo affairs to him for the sixth time.
According to NSCN/GPRN MIP, commenting the ongoing political talk between government of India and NSCN (I-M), Raising said that negotiating team of both the parties were “deeply committed” to arrive at a solution that respects the “unique position of the Nagas and security interest of India”. He said this would pave the way to enduring peaceful co-existence of the two entities. Asserting that now is the time of negotiation and not confrontation, Raising said “we” have passed through the “bloodiest” stage of confrontation and are now in the final stage of negotiations.
“Let us enlarge our heart and mind because the beginning of a new era for the Nagas is coming” added Raising.
Admitting that there are “certain forces”, which are out to sabotage or destroy the hard-earned peace process of the Naga people so that solution is aborted, he called upon all to be prepared for the final solution and any eventuality.
He then said that “we” have got to rebuild the broken relations among workers, cool relation with our people, hostile relation with “our” neighbours, dented relation with nature and halfhearted relation with God. Meanwhile, 19 members from different factions joined NSCN (I-M) who were later accorded a warm welcome.
